- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti until al dente, following package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage links and cook, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
- Remove the sausages from the skillet and let them cool slightly. Slice each sausage into four to five pieces, shaping the end pieces into a finger-like shape by slightly pinching or tapering the ends.
- In the same skillet, pour in the tomato sauce and bring to a gentle simmer. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and stir to combine.
- Stir the cooked spaghetti into the sauce, coating it evenly with the rich, red sauce. Let it cook for a minute to absorb the flavors.
- Arrange the sausage fingers on the plated spaghetti, pressing them slightly into the sauce so they look as if reaching out from the plate. Drizzle a little ketchup over parts of them to mimic bloody wounds.
- Serve immediately, with the sausage fingers protruding from the vibrant crimson spaghetti, creating a spooky, gory effect perfect for Halloween festivities.
Notes
You can customize the blood effects with additional ketchup or red food coloring. For an extra spooky touch, add some edible fake blood or garnish with black olives for eyes.
